Shockingly, 500 babies still die suddenly and unexpectedly every year, and the majority – commonly known as cot deaths – remain a mystery. FSID is the only national charity funding research into sudden infant death and supporting bereaved families. Its annual Save a Baby Month campaign highlights the importance of further research into sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), and asks people to participate by walking a Mile in Memory on Saturday 17 May, 11am.
